Did You Know?

30 Apr

This movie is a great fictional thriller with a happy ending, but little do people know that even though this is a fictional story, this is happening more than anyone could imagine! Most people watch movies and videos like this and are completely unaware of how real the scenario really is, except happy endings aren’t very common for these girls. Our goal is to make people aware of the awful, truth. That slavery is real, very real. Tomorrow is May Day, and I need your help with our goal! Please join me in this cause so that one day, all slaves may be free!

Stand against Slavery

30 Apr

How many times have you been taken away from your family, forcefully? Never.

How many times have you been starved? You may think you’re “starving”, but trust me, you aren’t.

What’s the longest you have gone without a nice warm shower? Not long, I can assure you.

Too many times we take little things like this for granted. The clothes on our backs, the food we waste, everything! Slaves would love to be back in their families arms again. Enjoying a nice warm shower. Eating a Thanksgiving feast. Wearing top brand clothes. Playing games with their family. Sleeping in a cozy bed.

HOW? That’s the word; HOW? How can YOU help abolish this cruelty? Join us in our fight to stop slavery. If we stick together we can stop this. Stand up for the slaves, they need us.

Unity Is the Key

30 Apr

Slavery is an unjust thing that is happening all around the world. Imagine your sister, your mother, or even your best friend getting overworked and tortured. They hate life to the extent that they want to kill themselves. No one should ever be ‘owned’ and tortured like this, and slave owners just don’t get that. God made us all equal. So many people want to speak out against this cruelty, but they don’t know how to. Nothing will happen if we all just watch. We need to take action quickly. Some studies show that in 25 years, if everyone comes together to stop this cause, modern slavery will be abolished. You can buy jewelry from destinyrescue.com. All money goes toward helping these modern day slaves, and this is an amazing way to help these people.

Trafficking is torment

27 Apr

Every year, several thousand children, men, and women are forced into trafficking, be it labor slavery or sex slavery. 30% of all trafficking victims are men and boys, they are usually used as labor slaves, and the other 70% consisting of women and girls are used for sex slavery, for the most part. This disgusts me. People think that this kind of thing gets rid of STDs, and helps people. This industry helps no one, and only corrupts people, and harm innocent victims. This sordid industry needs to be stopped. the vile acts committed are wrong and absolutely unforgivable. No one should be a slave. No one should own a slave. This horrid industry must come to a close, as it is immoral, crude, cruel, and unhealthy. The victims suffer, sometimes becoming suicidal or grow other problems. No labor slavery should exist, no sex slavery should exist, and no slavery should exist.

The Thirteenth Amendment

26 Apr

The Thirteenth Amendment

“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” –13th Amendment to the Constitution that freed all slaves on December 6, 1865. Despite the fact slavery, in any and all forms, has been outlawed in the United States, it still continues on, over one-hundred and forty years later within the domestic borders. The CIA estimates that over fifty thousand slaves of all types are trafficked within and throughout the nation’s borders. Unfortunately, the nature of this atrocious crime makes it quite difficult know for sure how many really are affected. However, the United States government and its people should not be able to receive fifty thousand as an acceptable number. Anything and everything should be done to reduce this number until it is no more. These fifty thousand, they are not just a number, each and everyone is a human being who has had their life taken away from them. To contend that they are experiencing life is a fool’s lie. We have an opportunity to change this, to give life to those who have lost it, or never even known it. We have a chance to resurrect the life-deprived slaves who inhabit this planet, and open their eyes to this beautiful world. But to open their eyes, we first must open our own as well as the American people. We speak for those who cannot be heard. We are their only voice and their only desperate hope–to give hope to the hopeless. Please, listen to this human plea. “The moment we stop fighting for each other, that’s the moment we lose our humanity.” It is not human to let slavery exist, and that is simply the truth.

Speak Out

26 Apr

Have you ever seen something, something horrible? Something that maybe happened in the halls, or somewhere else, that you felt that you could have, should have, done something about? Now’s your chance to do something about it.

Millions of people wish they had the courage to speak out about something they thought was wrong, but they never said anything. They just let it happen. But what they didn’t know was that it was easier than they would have thought to speak up. And that there would have been someone, at least one person, who agreed with them.

With slavery, it’s the same. Only it’s so much easier to make a more widespread motion because you know that someone else would side with you in this big world. That’s when it spirals out, becomes a worldwide movement. I’m not saying it happens every time, but sometimes, all it takes is one person with the courage to speak out to change something.

Involvement = Understanding

24 Apr

You can watch someone do something a million times but until you gain the courage to actually get involve with what you have been watching, you will never fully understand. This applies to everything in life, even this movement. No matter how much this topic effects you emotionally, or how depressing this subject is, you will never completely comprehend what is occurring and how awful it truly is until you get involved. If you honestly want to help this cause, please join us on May Day (May 1st.) We want to make a difference. We are tired of just watching as innocent lives are being taken every day. Aren’t you? Please join us, not watch us, in our attempt to bring awareness so that one day all slaves may be free!
